Potential Municipal Election candidates can now access helpful resources online

LETHBRIDGE, AB – If you’ve been thinking about running in the upcoming Municipal Election, there’s some information available for you online.

The City’s election website is now offering a few resources for potential candidates including a guide to running for municipal office in Alberta and a council member handbook.

The Lethbridge Public Library is also set to host two different educational virtual sessions including Women in Local Government on February 23rd and Experiences in Local Government on March 9th.

Nominations for the City of Lethbridge, Lethbridge School Division and Holy Spirit Catholic School Division opened on Jan. 1 and will close Sept. 20.

Municipal Election Day in Alberta is Monday, Oct.18.

The City says if you want to pick up or file nomination papers, you should contact [email protected] to arrange for an appointment.
