Lethbridge Bisons hosting provincials at Atso Park

Lethbridge is hosting the Little League Intermediate Divisional Championships this weekend.

Games will be played Thursday through Saturday (July 11-14) at Atso Park on the west side. The Lethbridge Bisons open the tournament Thursday against Medicine Hat at 2:30 pm.

The winner of the tournament will represent Alberta at the Canadian championships in Langley, British Columbia the following weekend. The tournament features a series of round-robin games between the four competing teams to determine two finalists.

Bisons coach Denny Puszkar says his team has spent the past six weeks getting ready for this tournament and believes his team will be at its best. “The boys have been working hard at practice and we have challenged them by playing a good portion of our games against older bantam teams to get ready for this tournament.”
