YWCA programs to benefit from Lethbridge and District Exhibition lottery

Programs supporting vulnerable and at-risk Albertans will benefit from this year’s Lethbridge and District Exhibition 50/50 lottery. The lottery was launched last year and this time the YWCA Lethbridge and District is the community partner.

“We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with Lethbridge and District Exhibition for the 2023 50/50 Lottery,” says Jill Young, YWCA Lethbridge and District CEO. “The proceeds will go directly to benefit our programs that provide services to vulnerable and at-risk Albertans. The need for our services continues to grow year-over-year and this lottery will allow us to continue to support those individuals to achieve their potential, strengthening the bonds of our community.”

The lotteries include the 50/50 that was launched at Ag Expo in March, which has a jackpot of more than $12,000 as of the end of July.

“Lethbridge and District Exhibition only exists because of the support we’ve received from southern Albertans, and we have an obligation to give back to the community that supports us. One of our organizational priorities is corporate social responsibility and with the incredible work the YWCA Lethbridge and District does to benefit women and girls in Lethbridge, it was a natural fit for us to support the work they do,” says Mike Warkentin, Lethbridge and District Exhibition CEO.
