Both vehicle and pedestrian traffic are anticipated to be impacted by construction on 3rd Avenue starting Monday.
According to the City of Lethbridge crews will be doing curb and asphalt repairs between 7th Street and Stafford Drive South. The construction work is anticipated to cause a partial intersection and crosswalk closure at 3rd Avenue South and 8th Street South, along with temporary lane closures on 3rd Avenue South, between 7 Street South and Stafford Drive South.
According to the city there will be detours in place for both drivers and pedestrians, and the work is expected to wrap up by Monday, July 1st.
Drivers are being urged to follow the posted signage and slow down in the construction zone.
