Cultural celebration to be held in Galt Gardens on Heritage Day

The Southern Alberta Ethnic Association is scheduled to celebrate Heritage Day in Galt Gardens at the beginning of next month.

The Monday, August 5th event will highlight the numerous different cultures and traditions that make up the Lethbridge community. According to a release from the SAEA the event “is a time to reflect on the journey of our ancestors, to appreciate the diverse backgrounds that enrich our lives, and to celebrate the unique contributions each of us brings to our shared story.”

The family-friendly event will include several cultural performances including dances, musical performances, and various food and drinks from different cultures from several vendors and food trucks. There will also be several exhibits that highlight the different cultures and local non-profit organizations.

The event will run from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
