Nominations open for 2025 Women of Distinction Awards

Nominations for the Women of Distinction Awards are open, with video nominations being accepted for the first time in 2025.

The Lethbridge and District YWCA holds the annual awards night for women from southern Alberta who have distinguished themselves in the community by their achievements as individuals, groups and role models for other women. According to the Lethbridge-based organization, the women who are nominated and honoured for the awards have worked to enrich the lives of those who are around them. Along with written nominations, the YWCA will accept video submissions that are a maximum of five minutes long and nominations will be accepted until midnight on Wednesday, January 29th.

A release from the local organization states “Now is the time to gather together and uplift the women in your life by nominating them for this prestigious award.”

There are seven different nomination categories, including the Yong Women of Promise and Lottie M. Austin Lifetime Achievement Award.
