Crews have finished repairing siphon leaks in the Lethbridge river valley.
The City of Lethbridge says the leaking was initially spotted in early January, when it caused a sinkhole and wastewater started to surface.
A crack was found in one of the three lines, northeast of the University of Lethbridge.

Following the initial fix, workers discovered that a second pipe was leaking. That second pipe was fixed on Saturday, February 1 and no additional leaks have been found.
Officials note that video inspections of all three pipes revealed no further issues, and the site continues to be monitored for any other leaks.
The repair led to a westbound lane closure on Whoop-Up Drive. This was needed for crews to access the river valley.

That closure has ended, but the repair area in the valley is still closed to the public.
Officials say it is believed that no wastewater entered the Oldman River and plans to restore the site are underway, including an environmental assessment to figure out if any cleanup work is needed.
