UPDATE: Officials confirm the fire is under control and no injuries were reported.
Motorists are being asked to avoid an area west of Scenic Drive, where crews are on the scene of a grass fire.
According to Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services officials, the fire is between the Scenic Drive Dog Run and Scenic Heights Apartments.
A statement from officials reads, “Residents and motorists are asked to avoid the area and give crews space to work safely. Scenic Drive remains open.”

It is also noted that those in surrounding neighborhoods may be able to see the smoke.
