Coalhurst Council is looking to fill seats on its council committees.
According to Town of Coaldale officials, there are open spots on the Community Housing Specialized Committee and Wetlands Specialized Committee. Through these committees information, advice, and recommendations are put forward on numerous issues and topics that impact the local community.
The volunteer who joins the Community Housing committee will help look at the factors and options for developing senior housing, affordable housing, and other housing options in the town. The person appointed will serve on the committee for two years.
The volunteer who ends up on the wetlands committee will explore ways to establish a wetlands area and review factors such as environmental impacts, operational sustainability, and the application of the Council’s Strategic Plan. This position is also a two-year term.
