Downtown Lethbridge will be lighting up the holidays on Thursday with the Downtown BRZ Christmas Tree Lighting Event and Moonlight Madness event.
According to the downtown organization, the festivities are set to kick off at 5 p.m. when the tree is lit up. Following the lighting of the tree, there is live music scheduled and the BRZ is collecting non-perishable food donations for pictures with Santa. Other festive activities on the docket include horse-drawn wagon rides from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm., crafts and hot chocolate being handed out. As well Cookie Crimes Ice Creamery will be hosting cooking decorating on a first come first serve basis, with 200 cookies available.
Along with the tree-lighting festivities, Moonlight Madness is also taking place with roughly 30 downtown businesses taking part by staying open until 8 p.m.
